Tourist Visa (K2)
Who can Apply : Short duration Visa up to 30 days/31-90 days with a purpose of Tourism
STEP 1 : Documents Required (Up to 30 Days) :
- Application Form 9 – Click Here to Download
- One Passport Size Photo (3.5cmx4.5cm Blue Background) taken within last 6 months
- Passport Copy with at least valid for 6 months or above
- Copy of Flight Itinerary – Click Here to find Flights/Train to Mongolia
- Copy of confirmed hotel booking – Click Here to Find Hotels
- Proof of Visa Fee Payment (if applicable)
- Invitation (for visa more than 30 days) – Click Here to Download (Must be signed by the Invitee residing in Mongolia & Attach the Printed Copy along with Application Form)
STEP 2 : Where to Apply: Mongolian Embassy/Consulate in the respective country – Click Here
- Application shall be submitted online (e-visa system – Mongolia Immigration Agency official Webpage)
- Visa permit shall be issued within 5 business days at normal service and 3 business days at express service. Visa permit code shall be sent via message.

STEP 3 : Procedure to renew Visa (31 to 90 Days):
- Application Form 9 – Click Here to Download
- One Passport Size Photo (3.5cmx4.5cm Blue Background) taken within last 6 months
- Passport Copy with at least valid for 6 months or above
- Additional documents may be required – Prepare yourself with itinerary plan, hotel booking & return ticket confirmation
- Submit the above in the Immigration Office (4 working days before expiration of the visa)
STEP 4 : Register yourself (if stay exceeds 31 to 90 Days):
- Application Form 1 – Click Here to Download
- One Passport Size Photo (3.5cmx4.5cm Blue Background) taken within last 6 months
- Passport Copy with at least valid for 6 months or above

Please Note :
- Application for a visa extension shall be made at least prior to 4 working days before expiration of the visa. Additional documentation related to stay/travel may be asked & interviewed if necessary.
- According to international agreements, it is not possible to extend the visa-free travel period in Mongolia. Foreign citizen must cross the international border before expiration of visa-free days or obtain visa in advance.
